About Me:
Just another link in the long chain of humanity, me.
Interests:
Geneology. I'm Georffrey Chaucer's 20th great granddaughter...almost a direct descendant! Goest reade thine olde tattered copye of Canterbury Tales.
Favorite Music:
THE CROCKETTS, of course. They're no longer around (sadly)but their legend lives on, even if only on my iPod. Neither do Murry the Hump, which seems almost criminal., THE CRIMEA- their legend has only just begun. Go on, lads!, KILLING FOR COMPANY is a new group that's brilliant, too., On a completely different note: DAN ZANES is one cool laid back folk-singin' dude. Give his "Sea Music" CD a listen and you, too, will become a fan of maritime song., Fiddlin' and banjo music...EARL SCRUGGS, DOC WATSON. Old timers country music like HANK WILLIAMS SR. and PATSY CLINE., I'm sure there's other stuff out there but I'm out of the loop. If it's not on Noggin or Playhouse Disney I probably haven't heard it yet. :o
Favorite Movies:
No comment, I'm afraid. Yes, I know my university degree was in Film. Yes, I realize I used to work at a major Hollywood studio. Just...just...don't ask. BUT, having said all that This is Spinal Tap is as much a classic in my book as Metropolis and Nosferatu. Ahhh...there is a soft spot in my heart for the dark cold nature of a good German Expressionist film.
Favorite TV Shows:
When I'm not forced to watch such notable fare as Blues Clues, Dora the Explorer, and Oobi, I like Real Time with Bill Maher, Seinfeld, Black Adder, Green Wing, The Daily Show, The Colbert Report, Countdown w/Keith Olberman, Gordon Ramsay's The F Word, and just about anything on Zoom HD's Equator and Gallery channels. Me like'm pretty high def pictures of snow and Monet paintings!
Favorite Books:
Anything related to the history of the British Isles. I'm a British history junkie. Alison Weir rights some damn fine stuff., Just bought "Talk to the Hand: The Utter Bloody Rudeness of the World Today, or Six Good Reasons to Stay Home and Bolt the Door" by Lynne Truss. She's a cranky old English woman and I'm frightened by how much I agree with her., PG Wodehouse (Jeeves & Wooster stuff). If a good writer raises your enthusiasm to dizzying levels then do take caution when approaching a Wodehouse book. His stories may be simple but the magic is in the story telling. What-ho, indeed!
